Are Ghosts bubbles? FInd out though the 29th of October, as CMA’s newest event brings Halloween fun for the whole family. Playful poltergeists, giggling ghosts, and silly specters will delight without scaring the kiddies. Dance to the “Bubble party,” hosted by DJ Boo and just have a ghoulishly good time!

Movies in the Park – The Goonies

One of St. Pete’s Favorite Fall traditions returns this year to Straub Park. The schedule is starting with a definite crowd pleaser, The Goonies. Pack your picnic basket, grab your lawn chairs, and come early to grab your favorite spot. Live music by Wandering Hours will start at 6pm, and the movie at 7pm. Proceeds go to help our friends at Preserve the ‘Burg do what they do to help keep St. Pete historically and aesthetically beautiful. October 20th 6-9pm Tickets and information here

7th Annual Hauntizaar

3rd Annual Pumpkin Fest
Pinewood Cultural Park, Largo

It’s a very special weekend at Pinewood Cultural Park, home of the Florida Botanical Gardens, Heritage Village, and the Gallery at Creative Pinellas. Bring the entire family for a “parkful” of holiday fun. There will be a pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving, and a scarecrow contest at the gardens. Heritage Village will host its fall Historic House Concert Series at the 1852 McMullen Coachman Log Cabin (12-1). Creative Pinellas hosts PAVA member artist, Wendy Bruce for a class in leaf-rubbing using watercolor paint. It’s going to be a memorable day for all!

47th Annual St. Petersburg international Folk Fair

For almost half a century SPIFFS has been putting on this amazing celebration of food and culture representing the diverse international heritage of our neighbors right here in the Bay area. Albert Whitted Park becomes a world of wonder with so much to learn, experience, and taste. Offerings include multi-cultural crafts, arts, food, cooking demos, music, and entertainment.  Get there before 2pm and enjoy the Grand Parade of nations. It hasn’t lasted 47 years for nothing. Bring the fam.

Shine Grand Finale

As I mentioned last week the 8th Annual SHINE Mural Fest has been going on all week and this Saturday is the grand finale – celebrating another great year of fabulous public art. Enjoy live painting and entertainment, as well as some innovative multi-genre arts presentations by Baghead (Miami), Emily Tan, Brian Nicols, Stephen Palladino, Acute perception, YUNGBLD, WOVE, and more. Food trucks will be there with wine and beer available. This event is FREE to the public, so check it out.

Sueños de Dalí
The Dalí Museum, St. Pete

It’s always the most surreal rendezvous of the year as the Dalí Museum’s remarkable façade and gardens transform into a celestial, dream-like experience like no other. There will be live music, themed cocktails, tantalizing treats, and gallery access. This year’s theme is inspired by Dali’s the “Twelve Signs of the Zodiac,” circa 1967. Come in costume and don’t miss a chance to resurrect the (very) old line, “what’s your sign?”
