Year after year, a team of board and committee members volunteer their time, treasure, and talent to create an event that raises funds for local charities culminating in an event unlike any other. This year, and every year moving forward, we’re doing things a little differently. We’ve committed to three incredible charities who have been involved with our event for years, who have now become our legacy charities. Help us reach our goal of raising $1,000,000 for these incredible organizations this coming year.

You’re invited to give cancer the boot! The American Cancer Society’s Tampa Cattle Baron’s Ball promises to be a toe-tapping, knee-slapping good time as you give back to our community and the American Cancer Society.   This one-of-a-kind evening features great food and drink, dancing, axes, bulls, a spectacular auction, and much more. With your support, the American Cancer Society saves lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against cancer. The American Cancer Society is working to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate! So, brand your calendar for 2026 & grab your hat and dust off your boots for what promises to be a rip-roaring, kick up your heels good time and making a measurable difference in the fight against cancer.  We hope to see you there in your boots and bling!

Gulfport’s Get Rescued Animal Rescue Festival & Fun-raiser returns for its 22nd year on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10am to 5pm at Beach Boulevard S in Gulfport, Florida. The event will feature: • Up to 50 animal rescue groups • Pet friendly vendors featuring animal related products, crafts, artwork and other curious treats • Pet care education • Animal training demos • The Florida Weiner Dog Derby • Fun-raising raffles • Local shops, restaurants and more All leashed people and well-behaved pets are welcome. There is no admission fee to attend and plenty of convenient complimentary parking will be available throughout the area. “We’re so excited to be back for our 22nd anniversary,” said Suzanne King, organizer of Get Rescued “This event is a great way to learn about animal rescue, meet adoptable pets, and support local businesses.
