A to Z: duPont Registry Tampa Bay’s encyclopedia of luxury

“A to Z: The Ultimate Luxury Lifestyles List” is duPont Registry Tampa Bay‘s first-ever compendium of the best our region has to offer for fans of luxury living. The list is organized by category: D is for Dining, R is for Resorts, etc., and under each letter we single out top-of-the-line examples in the category. Return to registrytampabay.com throughout the summer to see the next letter on The List, or read the entire list (and the entire July/August issue) in its digital version, on a coffee table, or in a bookstore near you.

A to Z: S is for…. Sports

Tampa Bay sports fans are about to hit the sweet spot: that short period in September when all four of our major sports teams are active, either just ending or just beginning their seasons. That being the case, dR’s A to Z list wants to help you find the suite spots — the various stadiums’ high-end options for viewing these important games in the luxury you deserve. (Of course, if luxury for you means staying home on the sectional sofa with remote and beer can in hand, who are we to argue?)

The Buccaneers (Home opener Sept. 16 against the Eagles; Monday Night Football home game Sept. 24 against the Steelers): Despite all the Jameis Winston drama, the Bucs are looking pretty good. If you want to add a little affordable luxury to your touchdown-watching, try the new East Stadium Club, which features a 10,000-square-foot bar and restaurant with over 50 high-definition TVs, an array of culinary stations and 76, count ’em 76, varieties of beer.

The Lightning (Pre-season opener against the Carolina Hurricanes Sept. 18): Will they play for the Cup this year after just missing out last season? Better you should find out in person, and if you’re a fan but don’t need to be in glass-slapping distance, the Amalie Arena’s got nearly 70 luxury-suite options.

The Rays (Home stands Sept. 7-16 against Orioles, Indians and the A’s; Sept. 24-27 against the Yankees; Sept. 28-30 against Toronto): Who woulda thunk a few months ago that this year’s Rays would become one of the hottest teams in baseball? Of course, it may be too late in the season for their late August winning streak to get them into the playoffs, but they’re just so damn fun to watch! And the Trop offers plenty of luxurious suites for doing so, from Infield to Press Box to Executive and more.

The Rowdies (Sept. 15 at home vs. Atlanta; Sept. 22 at home vs. Richmond): Their numbers may not point to the playoffs, but you’re a fan — you’ll pull up those green and yellow sox and root for the Rowdies no matter what. And there’s no better place to do so than in a private VIP Box at Al Lang Stadium, complete with personal food and beverage services, separate washrooms, and VIP parking.
