The Best Thing You Can Do Today: Spend the day at the TMA
Three reasons you’ve got to go to the Tampa Museum of Art this weekend. First, Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room, LOVE IS CALLING, just opened; even though you only get to stay in the room for two minutes, and even though you’ll probably have to wait in line a lot longer than that, the experience is truly mind-blowing. Second, this is the final weekend of the Jésus Rafael Soto/Larry Bell show, Vapor and Vibration, which in its own way is as mesmerizing a study in color and light as Kusama’s. And third, the Patricia Cronin show (Patricia Cronin, Aphrodite, and the Lure of Antiquity: Conversations with the Collection), which is open thru Jan. 6, is gorgeous and thought-provoking and might just tempt you away from waiting in line for Kusama, which is open thru Valentine’s Day.
