Registry Tampa Bay

‘Tis the time of year (if not the weather) for shivers, so the Radio Theatre Project — entering its 11th season at the Studio@620 — joins in the fun with two enjoyably creepy plays. The first, the ghostly Gothic yarn “Hurst of Hurstcote” by Elizabeth Salazar, has all the spooky prerequisites: an isolated English manor house, a love triangle that may or may not be over, voices in the night, and an open coffin. Colleen Cherry, Jim Sorensen, Juliana Ditmyer and Jacob Barrens star.

In the next — “Miss Peddy & Grace,” a sly comedy by William Ivor Fowkes — a formidable home caregiver who prides herself on her knack for disciplining the elderly may be about to meet her match in a dear and possibly demented patient. Lisa Powers Tricomi and Jan Neuberger star, with support by Mimi Rice, Bonnie Agan, Colleen Cherry, Juliana Ditmyer and yours truly.
As always, Foley master Matt Cowley will provide the live sound effects and Paul Wilborn will be at the piano. The late Bob Heitman — for many years the elegant and sonorous voice of RTP — will also be remembered.
Mon. 10/28, 7 p.m., Studio@620, 620 1st Ave. S., St. Petersburg, 727-895-6620, studio620.org
