Clearwater Free Clinic’s 23rd Annual Martinis & Matisse was such a night to remember! This favorite community event always feels like a big reunion of friends — the perfect way to say goodbye to the holidays and welcome spring.

I had extra incentive to be there this year because my friend Alicia Suarez was one of the signature artists. I’ve always loved her bright, happy artwork, and seeing her featured made the night even more special. Proud friend moment!

The evening was a huge success, raising nearly $500,000 and netting a record-breaking $430,000+ for the Clearwater Free Clinic. Their mission is to provide quality medical care to those in our community who otherwise might go without — and this event is a beautiful reminder of how much good can happen when people come together with purpose.

And how about this… even after retiring as CEO after 26 years, Jeannie Shapiro still chaired this year’s event. That kind of dedication, creativity, and heart is exactly what makes this event — and this organization — so incredible for our community.

Take a look at the photos below to see all the fun we had… and start planning now because I can’t wait to see you there next year!

Lucky me to be friends with more than one artist! This was beyond groovy, Kelly Nash!

The title “Wish” so accurately desribes this image! Amazing work, Rachael Wood!

Live Art is always so much fun to see!

Cheers to CFC’s own CEO, Tony Degina, and my friend Alicia Suarez!
