dRTBest Bets, the list of recommended arts & entertainment events that appears in each print edition of duPont REGISTRY Tampa Bay, was compiled for the Spring 2020 print edition before the wave of postponements and cancellations that occurred in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. In the list below, we provide updates about the events we recommended — and, where available, list new dates for events that have been postponed.


Florida Museum of Photographic Arts.

Doubt: A Parable at Jobsite Theater.

The People Downstairs at American Stage (rescheduled to September).

12 Angry Men at Stageworks.

Skin Hungry at Lab Theater Project.

112 Years of Broadway at Ruth Eckerd (rescheduled to July 31)

Footloose at American Stage in the Park (rescheduled to October).

Summer: The Donna Summer Musical (rescheduled to July 13-18).


The Pelican Women’s Championship. This LPGA tournament, the first in Tampa Bay since 1989, has been moved to Nov. 9-15.

Tampa Bay Rays Opening Day. Play will not begin  until late May or early June at the earliest, according to a Mar. 16 announcement by Major League Baseball.

MIZE Gallery. The gallery is open by appointment only, but the new show, Flower Power, can be viewed online.
