Aaahhhh….. Freak OUT! The Mahaffey has announced a flash sale for two days only on tickets to Friday night’s 8 p.m. concert by Niles Rodgers & CHIC. Tickets are just $20 from now until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 on selected seats*. 

Don’t know ’bout you, but just the list of CHIC hits — “Le Freak”, “I Want Your Love”, “Everybody Dance”, “Dance, Dance, Dance, “My Forbidden Lover,” and “Good Times,” among others — makes me wanna dance, or at the very least makes me wanna point out that Nile Rodgers was and is a phenomenon. Because not only did he put down some of the most indelible riffs in the history of dance pop, he has kept on keeping on as a prolific and influential producer, working with everyone from Diana Ross to Daft Punk, from Madonna to Lady Gaga. And now he and CHIC are back in the spotlight with a terrific new studio album, their first in more than 26 years (aptly titled It’s About Time), which made a Top 10 debut on the UK album charts.
