The Best Thing You Can Do Today: See the Pulitzer-winning play Between Riverside and Crazy  

Downtown St. Pete’s stellar professional theater company, American Stage, had one of its strongest seasons ever last year, so tonight’s pay-what-you-can preview performance of Between Riverside and Crazy is a great chance to get in on the ground floor, so to speak, of their 2018-19 lineup. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2015, Stephen Adly Guirgis’s dark comedy centers on an ex-cop (played by L. Peter Callender, pictured center) who’s struggling to hold on to his rent-controlled apartment on Manhattan’s Riverside Drive. Doors open at 6:30; curtain at 7. General admission performance; tickets are “pay-what-you-can” day of show based on availability, or $20 in advance.
