“EXPLORING THE LIFESTYLE AND GENEROSITY OF TAMPA BAY”

Follow Us

Remember September? I know, it seems like years ago, but on a Tuesday night long ago and far away, Tampa Bay got to enjoy the first game in the Rays/Jays Wild Card Series and the now-infamous first presidential debate (OK, maybe “enjoy” is not the right word for the latter).

Tonight, we’ve got a similar situation, as you can arguably catch both a Rays playoff and a political face-off: Game 3 in the best-of-five American League Division Series between the Rays and the Yankees, tied at 1 after last night’s grueling win by the Rays, and the one and only debate between the two U.S. vice presidential candidates, incumbent V.P. Mike Pence and Democratic challenger Sen. Kamala Harris.

Stakes are high for both. Whoever wins the playoff tonight will be just one win away from the ALDS title and the chance to play for the league championship, and whoever “wins” the debate will be, well, who knows? I’d say they’ll both be regarded as winners if they manage to let their opponent finish a sentence.

Get your heart medications ready — it’s game on!
