“EXPLORING THE LIFESTYLE AND GENEROSITY OF TAMPA BAY”

As sure as Santa, the Radio Theatre Project is doing a holiday show on a December Monday night — tonight, to be exact. Performed as usual at The Studio@620, with actors at microphones and Matt Cowley providing sound effects, the two audio plays in this edition ring changes on holiday traditions while maintaining a tales-told-round-the-campfire aura of good cheer. The Goblins and the Gravedigger by Kenny Chumbley is an adaptation of a little-known Christmas ghost story by Charles Dickens, while Will Anderson’s The Holiday Spirit is a wacky potpourri of country songs, class warfare and a very vocal dog. And for the record, I’ll be up there in both, as a screechy goblin and an “exorbitantly rich” gentleman named Cadwalls. (Holiday Alert: There Will Be Singalongs.)

Mon. 12/16, 7 p.m, The Studio@620, 620 First Ave. N., St. Petersburg, 727-895-6620, www.thestudio620.org.
