Leave it to Chad Mize to come up with the best name for a holiday gallery show ever: stuff & things & stuff. Simple, direct and kind of irresistible, especially since the artists providing all the things & stuff are among the best in the area, making work that’s accessible, affordable and fun. Look for stuff (& things) by, among others, Coralette Damme, Josh Sullivan, Andrew Pawlisz and Mize himself, as well as artist-made ornaments by the likes of Josh Poll, Marc Levasseur, John Gascot, Daniel Mrgan and Spencer Meyers (whom you may also know as an actor — he recently played the title role in Jobsite’s hit Hedwig and the Angry Inch). The show opens tonight and continues until Dec. 24. Shop early and often — you could wind up with the artiest Xmas in town!
Mize Gallery, 689 Dr. MLK Jr. St. (9th St. ) N., St. Petersburg. Opening reception, Thurs., Dec. 6, 6-9 p.m. Gallery hours: Fridays 4-8 p.m.; Saturdays 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sundays 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
