Did you see that eye-popping diamond Lady Gaga wore to the Oscars last night? Well, it has a local connection, at least until the end of March. St. Pete’s Museum of Fine Arts sent out this tweet during the ceremony: “If you’re watching  #Oscars2019, the Tiffany Diamond that @ladygaga is wearing was last worn when it was set in the #JeanSchlumberger designed necklace that Audrey Hepburn wore during promotion of the movie #BreakfastatTiffanys! #JewelsattheMFA on view thru Mar. 31!”

“JewelsattheMFA” being the hashtag for the show currently dazzling visitors at the museum: Jewels of the Imagination: Radiant Masterworks by Jean Schlumberger from the Mellon Collection. Gaga’s gewgaw won’t be there, but you’ll see plenty of works by the master mid-century Tiffany & Co. jeweler whose innovative baubles were worn not only by Audrey but by luminaries like Jackie Kennedy, too. The show runs through 3/31, and on Thursday, 2/28, at 7 p.m. (free with museum admission) there’s a talk by Rush Jenkins, the award-winning interior designer whose design of the Schlumberger exhibition has been getting almost as many raves as the jewelry. mfastpete.org.
