“EXPLORING THE LIFESTYLE AND GENEROSITY OF TAMPA BAY”

Follow Us

It’s a Pay What You Wish day at  the Florida Holocaust Museum in honor of the FHM’s founder, Walter Loebenberg, whose 95th birthday would have been today.

Walter Loebenberg.

His family is inviting the public to a Celebration of Life at 3:30 p.m. at the museum (call 727-820-0100 ext. 301 to reserve a seat). But if you can’t attend that, you can still honor his legacy in a way he would have appreciated very much: Visit his museum, one of Tampa Bay’s most vital community institutions.

Current exhibits include Stories of Survival, highlighting the experiences of local Holocaust survivors, and the mega-popular Bill Graham and the Rock & Roll Revolution, about the legendary music promoter whose experience as a 11-year-old Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany fueled a lifelong passion for social justice — a commitment which prompted the FHM to honor him posthumously with its Loebenberg Humanitarian Award.
