    Gulfport’s Get Rescued Animal Rescue Festival & Fun-raiser returns for its 22nd year on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10am to 5pm at Beach Boulevard S in Gulfport, Florida. The event will feature: • Up to 50 animal rescue groups • Pet friendly vendors featuring animal related products, crafts, artwork and other curious treats • Pet care education • Animal training demos • The Florida Weiner Dog Derby • Fun-raising raffles • Local shops, restaurants and more All leashed people and well-behaved pets are welcome. There is no admission fee to attend and plenty of convenient complimentary parking will be available throughout the area. “We’re so excited to be back for our 22nd anniversary,” said Suzanne King, organizer of Get Rescued “This event is a great way to learn about animal rescue, meet adoptable pets, and support local businesses.     Tampa Riverfest Presented by Publix Super Markets Riverfest is a public, two-day, FREE event that is held the first weekend in May each year.  The festival spans the entire length of the Riverwalk including several parks and features family-friendly activities and events showcasing Tampa's cultural institutions, local musicians and restaurants.  The festival includes Taste of Riverwalk on Friday night and Taco Fest on Saturday.  There is also a full concert series of regional and local bands on the main stage in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and a balloon glow at sunset on both nights.  Other activities include a wiener dog derby, a lantern parade, yoga, a water ski show and a paddle invasion.
