$3,200,000
The Brady Bunch house is considered the most recognizable home in TV history and has officially sold. Located in Studio City, California, the sprawling five-bedroom, five-bath residence hit the market with an original asking price of $5.5 million but ended up being purchased for $3.2 million.
The home still has the infamous staircases that anchor the house, the bright orange Formica kitchen counter, the blue bunk beds, the pink twin beds, and let’s not forget about the groovy attic. The specious 5,000 Square Foot home is on a sprawling 12,000 Square Foot lot with citrus trees lining the yard. The quaint tree-lined street backs up to the Los Angeles River.
As you enter the heart of the home, you will be transported into the Brady Bunch series.
The Formica kitchen counter and the smell of pork chops and applesauce bring back Alice in full color.
The Brady children’s bedrooms are exactly the same, with pink and blue themes.
The architectural mid-century home has soaring ceilings, oversized windows, and sliding glass doors, which fill the space with natural light. The home-curated furnishings and accessories were included in the sale and will take you back to a unique era. Fireplaces and some appliances/fixtures are decorative only.
You feel right at home in the family room, Mr. Brady’s office, or enjoying the backyard.
The new owner, Tina Trahan, said, “It’s almost like a life-size dollhouse.” She plans to use the home for fundraisers and charity events. “Nobody is going to live in it,” she shared. “No one is going there to make pork chops and applesauce in that kitchen. Anything you might do to make the house livable would take away from what I consider artwork.”
The home’s exterior was renovated in 2019 during the HGTV series A Very Brady Renovation, where all six actors who portrayed the Brady children participated in the project. Decades later, the house and the show’s legacy are still standing!
