Rita Lowman, the president of Pilot Bank, wrote a book in 2016 called From the Farm to the Boardroom: Leadership Lessons. As that title suggests, her life has been a pretty amazing odyssey, and she’s picked up lots of wisdom along the way. So it was great to have her as a guest on dRTB Live!, the weekly Facebook Live broadcast from duPont Registry Tampa Bay. She and dRTB Publisher Tom duPont had a wide-ranging conversation, from her early days in banking in the 1970s (when her job was showing people how to use an ATM) to her rise to the top at Pilot, a community bank that really does support the community (listen at about 8:30 when she talks about the iconic mural by John Gascot and Derek Donnelly on the St. Pete branch, and the support the bank continues to give to local artists). It’s a good listen — enjoy!
