Team Europe claimed a dramatic 15-13 victory over the United States at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands, winning back the 2026 Solheim Cup after a tightly contested three-day showcase.
The United States leads the all-time Solheim Cup series 11–8–1 after Team Europe reclaimed the trophy at the 2026 event in the Netherlands. The next Solheim Cup will be held at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky September 8 – 10, 2028.
22-year-old Lottie Woad (former Florida State standout) clinched the 14th point that all but guaranteed the victory for Europe. Ultimately, Solheim Cup veteran Carlota Ciganda sealed the decisive 15th point for the home squad with a 4-and-2 win over Jennifer Kupcho, putting the finishing touch on a memorable European triumph.
Alison Lee had an amazing comeback in singles on Sunday. The former #1 Amateur from UCLA was 4 down through 11 holes to Esther Henseleit to win 1 up-the highlight of the day for the Americans- the largest Solheim Cup singles comeback since 2013.
Linn Grant defeated Angel Yin 4 and 3 in singles to go 4-0-0 on the week, making her an MVP for the Europeans. Grant is the defending champion of The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican golf club in Belleair, Florida scheduled for November 11 – 15, 2026. https://theannika.com/tickets#tickets
Meanwhile, Shane Lowry stormed to his second Amgen Irish Open success after making history with a record 11-shot triumph in Doonbeg, Ireland.
