Tom Kim won the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. He shot a final round 64 to finish at 17-under par, claiming the $1.575 million winner’s share of the $9 million purse. Min Woo Lee finished second at 15 -under par.

The victory ended a 3-year winless draught for Kim. This was Kim’s 4th win on tour. He previously won the 2022 and 2023 Shriners Children’s Open, and the 2022 Wyndham Championship.

Kim finished 3rd in the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills just 3 shots off the lead. His finish at the U.S. Open must have given him a lot of confidence going into the Scottish Open.

Kim currently ranks 88th on the PGA Tour in driving distance, averaging 303.3 yards off the tee. He relies more on accuracy and short-game skill than pure power to compete.

His brilliant iron play was on display in the final round when he hit his best shot on Sunday at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open with 200-yard approach shot from the long grass (rough) on the 16th hole. The clutch shot safely reached the green and set up a birdie, sealing his two-stroke victory.

Johnny Keefer, Michael Thorbjornsen, and Victor Perez secured the final qualifying spots into The Open Championship by finishing as the top non-exempt golfers at the Genesis Scottish Open.

Scottie Scheffler’s streak of 78 consecutive made cuts on the PGA Tour ended at the Genesis Scottish Open. He shot a 2-over 72 in the second round, finishing at even par and missing the cut by two. This was his first missed cut since August 2022.

The 154th Open will take place at Royal Birkdale from July 12-19, 2026.

World No. 1 golfer, Scottie Scheffler, will try to become the first back-to-back winner of The Open since Padraig Harrington in 2008-09. Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are once again the betting favorites.

Meanwhile,  in EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France — Haeran Ryu birdied the first hole of a playoff with Brooke Henderson to win the Evian Championship on Sunday for a second straight major title in the space of three weeks.

The South Korean golfer backed up her victory at the Women’s PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club on June 29, but it didn’t come easy after giving up a three-shot overnight lead and then making a birdie on No. 18 to force the playoff.

“Before these three weeks, I didn’t have a major championship — now two in a row,” said the 25-year-old Ryu, who shot 60 on Saturday for the lowest round at an LPGA major. “I am so happy, I can’t believe it.”
