St. Pete Art & Fashion Week – Opening Night Soiree

It’s the 13th Annual Festival of the Arts and that means Art & Fashion Week is here. join the kick-off soiree in your most fashionable attire and walk the red carpet. Mingle with artists, models, fashion designers, and view the fashion preview. This is a VIP event. The runway show will occur Saturday night, the 16th at Coastal Creative.

Opening Night: Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard

If all the world’s a stage, then Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are the bit players. It is from their hilarious perspective that we are given a behind the scenes view of history’s and the Bard’s greatest play, Hamlet. Stratford-upon-Avon is overflowing with tea in this Tony award winning play by Oscar winner for Shakespeare in Love, Tom Stoppard. (There is a preview performance on Thursday, September 14th.)

Galactic Rodeo – Art, Market & Fire Performance

Now here is a fusion of worlds you just gotta see. Cosmos meets Rawhide in this more than unique art exhibition, marketplace and performance event.
If you want to see what an alien looks like in a ten-gallon hat, this is the place to be. There will also be vendors and fire performances – all the makings of a very entertaining evening. Yeeehaw earthlings.

Art & Aces
Oxford Exchange, Tampa

This is an inaugural event benefitting the Tampa Museum of Art. It promises to be an exciting evening of gaming, auctions, live entertainment and great food. Enjoy premium cigars and an open bar in the elegant atmosphere of Oxford Exchange. Gaming will include roulette, craps, blackjack, casino slots, and more. Proceeds benefit TMA’s arts education programming. 21 and over.

USF Bulls vs. Alabama
Raymond James Stadium, Tampa

The Crimson Tide rolls into town this weekend to take on our own USF Bulls. It’s early in the college football season, but this is a big match up and a real test for our Bulls. Alabama can always be found at the top of the polls, so we’ll have to perform at the top of our game to win. But, oh – wouldn’t that be sweet?

Public Art Walk
Clearwater Arts Alliance, Clearwater

In one short hour, you’ll have a chance to see at least 20 public art installations, including murals, sculptures, art wrapped signal boxes, pavement art, and storm drain murals. This docent-led tour will open your eyes to the community’s vibrant art scene and remind you why this area can truly be considered the arts coast.

Mid-Autumn Moon Festival by Saigon Night Market

It’s a very special weekend market event featuring dozens of food vendors offering multi-cultural dishes from China, Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, and more. There will be DJs, multi-cultural performances, a pho eating contest, and children’s activities including a bounce house and  face-painting. If you love exotic foods and family fun, this is the place to be this weekend.

Third Annual Gospel Brunch

By far, the yummiest fundraiser this weekend – the Gospel Brunch will feature food, live music, a 23/24 programming preview, and the opportunity to hang out with neighbors, friends, and community. The are always good vibes in the place where the answer is always “Yes.” Come support 620, eat some great food and enjoy.

Home Opener Bucs vs. Bears
Raymond James Stadium, Tampa

The Bucs stunned a lot of people with their week one win in Minnesota. This week, Baker Mayfield brings his team home to take on the Bears at Ray Jay in their home opener. This is one they should win, but that’s why they play the games. Let’s hope for a big game for wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Go Bucs!
