11th Annual GeckoWorld Gecko Art Show
Catherine Hickman Theatre, Gulfport

The Geckos are here! Once again Gulfport opens its arm to their much-beloved mascot for a month-long series of events like The Gecko Art Show!
Expect an eclectic showcase of original works by nine talented local artists, all created in the spirit of Gulfport’s unique charm and creativity. From bold paintings to imaginative mixed media, this event highlights the quirky, colorful soul of our arts-loving community. While the kickoff event is one night only, all exhibited artwork will remain on display at the Catherine Hickman Theater through August 27, 2026—giving art lovers plenty of time to explore the show throughout the month.
Enjoy catered small bites, sip on your favorite drink from the cash bar (featuring beer and wine), and mingle with fellow art lovers, locals, and GeckoWorld fans. Whether you’re a collector, a supporter of local art, or just ready to get weird with us—this is the perfect way to dive into the Gecko festivities.

Burning Love: Celebrating Elvis & The Sunshine City

Join us Friday, August 7, as the Museum of History celebrates the 70th Anniversary of Elvis Presley’s first appearance in St. Petersburg!
Award-winning journalist and author historian Bob Kealing will present the riveting story of Elvis Presley’s rise to fame in Florida – including that fateful 1956 performance at the Florida Theatre in downtown St. Pete. Kealing will discuss his book, ‘Elvis Ignited!’ Which provides a road map to Elvis’s time in the Sunshine State. Be on the lookout for other fun surprises, too! Perhaps an appearance by the King himself?

NATIONAL TIGERS AND SCRAMBLERS DEMO DAYS
Tampa Triumph, Tampa

You know Registry Tampa Bay is rooted in a tradition of great motor vehicles. Be among the first to experience both 2026 Triumph Tiger and Scrambler lineups. Any licensed motorcyclist 21 and above is encouraged to participate in the National Demo Day. Riders must bring full appropriate riding gear (including a DOT certified helmet, motorcycle jacket, riding pants, riding glove, and over ankle boots) and a valid drivers license with motorcycle endorsement to be able to ride.
As an added bonus, the first 20 registered riders to complete a test ride on any Tiger or Scrambler model at participating dealers will received an exclusive Triumph Gift*.

Reception: “In the Making” An Exhibition by GCAA ArtWorks Resident Artists

As the Gulf Coast Artists’ Alliance approaches its 20th anniversary, Resident Artist members are celebrating with an expansive exhibition of their paintings, jewelry, pottery, glass, 3-D sculpture, and mixed media. These thirteen artists are Gulf Coast Artists’ Alliance members who regularly show in the Gift Shop, Gallery and Studios.
