Emerging Artists 2024 Opening Reception
The Gallery at Creative Pinellas, Largo

The County arts agency, Creative Pinellas, is proud, once again, to present this year’s talented group of emerging artists. They represent a wide swath of arts genres and get to showcase their talents in the gallery until July 21st. The opening reception is always a fun event with opportunities to meet the artists, check out their work, get some great nibbles, and meet with friends in the arts community. There is also live music and performances to enjoy. The event is free, so you have no excuse to miss it!

Comedy Central continues its long-standing relationship with the talented comedian and actor, collaborating on two podcasts –Roy’s Job Fair and Beyond the Scenes – as well as his third hour-long stand-up special, Imperfect Messenger, now streaming on Paramount+.

FAMILY FUN – Painting in the Park at MFA
Museum of Fine Arts, DTSP

Bring your little artists downtown for a day of hands-on fun at the Museum of Fine Arts! This event will include 10 art and activity stations for kids to create their own masterpieces inspired by the MFA Collection, including chalk art along Bayshore, an archaeology dig inspired by the MFA’s antiquities galleries; a pop-up poppy field inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s “Poppy”; and so much more! Participants will receive a Painting In The Park Passport to help guide them to each station and will earn a stamp as they complete each activity. Once they’ve completed their passport, they’ll receive a prize. Activities are for toddlers, tweens, and in-betweens, and adults are welcome to join in on the fun, too! Admission is FREE

100 Discs Exhibit
St. Pete Shuffle, DTSP

100 shuffleboard discs will be transformed into 6-inch round pieces of art by some of your favorite St. Pete artists. Each one will be for sale and help raise funds for the club’s Historic Preservation Fund. The show will take place on Saturday, May 11th from 5 to 9pm, during Second Saturday ArtWalk.
