See what’s in store for you right here!
Thursday
Ongoing: Sun-N-Fun Aerospace Expo
Pipkin Rd., Lakeland
Time for a visit to our neighbors to the north for one of the most exciting events of the year. Everyone loves the daring do and great showmanship of the pilots. From its humble beginnings in 1974 as a fly-in for sport aviation enthusiasts, the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo has grown into one of the largest and most successful aviation events on earth. They are Florida’s largest annual convention of any kind, and each year over 200,000 visitors flock to what has become known as “Aviation’s Season Opener” or “Spring Break for Pilots.”
Now through Sunday, April 6th

Opening: The Sunshine Boys by Neil Simon
Francis Wilson Playhouse, Clearwater
Lewis & Clark, AKA, the Sunshine Boys, were a very popular vaudeville act in their younger years, but time has not been good to their relationship, to put it mildly. Now one’s nephew, a talent agent, attempts to bring the two legendary (and cranky) comics together for a reunion and revival of their famous act. It’s a Neil Simon classic, funny and poignant. Put theater on your calendar this weekend.
Thursday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 13th

Friday
Artist Opening: Nathan Beard – Ten Measure Tune
The Werk Gallery, St. Pete
Ten Measure Tune is Beard’s first solo-exhibition in St. Petersburg in over 10 years. This homecoming exhibition will showcase a selection of his classic “Exit Music” paintings, as well as a number of new bodies of work in the “Exit Music” vein that he developed for exhibitions and projects outside the region over the last decade, from Illinois and Ft. Lauderdale to California and Japan. As a proud owner of an early “Exit Music” piece, I highly recommend you come and see Nathan Beard’s work for yourself. It’s an experience.
