Opening – Sentimental Journey – The Art of Lance Rodgers

If you know anything about the true origins of the now exploding arts scene here in our community, then you know the name Lance Rodgers. Since the 80’s, Rodgers has been a prolific fixture and pioneer of the St. Pete arts landscape. His work has been shown and sold nationally and internationally, and can currently be seen in the permanent collections of the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art, the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, Arts & Sciences Museum of Ormond Beach, Gulf Coast Museum of Art, and the American Embassy in Madrid. When the story of the Bay area arts renaissance is told, Lance Rodgers will be a pivotal character in the narrative. Come see why at Woodfield Gallery Friday night.

The SHINE Mural Festival has become such an important and much anticipated part of our cultural identity, Registry Tampa Bay gives kudos to Director, Jenee Priebe, and everyone involved with SHINE. Welcome to the #RegistrySpotlight.

2 Day Kick-off Event: 9th Annual SHINE Mural Festival

14 new murals plus a series of Bright Spot Mural Projects will be added to the landscape of St. Pete by renowned local, national, and international artists. Now in its ninth year, SHINE has garnered widespread international attention. The kick-off weekend on Friday and Saturday includes the following events: On Friday, the All City event celebrates graffiti and street art with live music, live painting, cocktails, and more.
On Saturday, SHINE takes the spotlight on Second Saturday ArtWalk with events at the Morean Arts Center, ARTicles Gallery, The Good Folk Gallery @ Creative Clay, St. Pete Artworks, Craftsman House Gallery, and Soft Water Gallery. Meet the artists and enjoy interactive mural activities.
There are many more activities throughout the course of the festival, so make your plans now.

Named a top 5 Oktoberfest in the country, it’s considered one of, if not the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the Bay area. Opening – A Nightmare on Franklin Street: Ghosts of Tampa Theatre Tour

Who was the man in seat 308? Where did Robert Lanier tear his final ticket? Why does Fink Finley continue to roam the balcony? And what has led to Tampa Theatre being known as one of the most haunted buildings in town? Learn the Theatre’s secrets and stories with a “balcony to backstage” tour that will focus on the historic movie palace’s ghostly guests, preternatural patrons and eternal employees. The 90-minute tour kicks off in the lobby and does include climbing stairs and extended periods of standing. Doors open 15 minutes before tour time. This is only one of the many spooky activities you can find at Tampa Theatre in the month of October.

This special benefit concert features local band, #NOFILTER with proceeds going directly to the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts to support youth educational performances which expose students in Tampa Bay to the performing arts.
This outdoor festival features local merchants, food vendors, music and more.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a beautiful view of Tampa Bay with special musical guest, #NOFILTER. #NOFILTER creates a one-of-a-kind concert experience that features four singer-musicians.
