Jobsite brings back Gorey Stories for your Halloween pleasure after two previous sold-out runs. Reminiscent of the Shockheaded Peter style, Gorey Stories is a compilation of artist-author Edward Gorey’s stories, poems and limericks – a neo-gothic vision of the world as dark, mysterious, and yet simultaneously hilarious. In the mix are unusual creatures, curious landscapes, insanity, fanaticism, murder, catchy tunes, and a deep appreciation for all things artistic.

Evil Dead the Musical

In this side-splitting comedy, Ash and his friends break into an abandoned, secluded cabin in the woods, where they find the Necronomicon (aka “The Book of the Dead”), and all hell breaks loose… literally! Trying to save their souls, and sanity, they must fight the forces of evil, including dancing zombies, a manic moose, and their own possessed body parts! Can they escape before the demons rise and “Do the Necronomicon”?

The Great Glass & Clay Pumpkin Patch

Celebrate fall with the Morean Center for Clay! This Saturday, the space will transform into a great glass pumpkin patch filled with over 200 blown glass and clay pumpkins made just for the occasion. This event is free to attend and will feature fall themed photo-ops for the family.

Old Southeast Artist Enclave Studio Tour
Starts at The Chattaway, 4th Street S, St. Pete

Join other Old Southeast neighbors, and art lovers from all across the bay, for this exciting event. Visit the private studios of some of your favorite local artists. The tour is self-guided, and there is no fee. Pick up your map on the day of the event at the information tent in The Chattaway parking lot. Maps will also be available at each studio participating in the tour. FREE event.

34th Annal Hyde Park Village Art Fair
Hyde Park Village, Tampa

For more than a third of a century, Hyde Park has been the home of this very popular art fair featuring the work of some very talented local and regional artists. The event is held in the trendy downtown area of Hyde Park Village and offers visitors a unique experience. Brick courtyards, fountains and tree-lined streets create an old-world setting, making Hyde Park Village a perfect location for a fine art fair. Admission is free and there is no doubt that you’ll find something to bring home.

Ghoulish Gala

Introducing MOSI’s first-ever Adult Halloween extravaganza: The Ghoulish Gala! MOSI will be transformed into a haunted wonderland with spectacular science shows and hair-raising experiments. It’s time once again, for the ‘Burg’s most surreal celebration –  Sueños de Dalí, the year’s most unforgettable soirée, where the iconic building and gardens morph into a world of whimsical delight and reality blurs with imagination.
Guests can dance the night away while enjoying themed open bars, delectable bites, enchanting entertainment and more—all while supporting the Museum’s vital mission as a premier nonprofit cultural and educational organization.

While themed attire is recommended, all are welcome. Step into a dreamlike world with this year’s theme, “A Surrealist Awakening.” In celebration of 100 years of Surrealism, guests are encouraged to let their inner Surrealist be the guide. Give an ode to past artists—from Salvador Dalí to René Magritte—tap into those embracing the movement today, such as Lady Gaga or the Elsa Schiaparelli fashion house, or accent your look with key surreal symbols, including melting clocks, eyes, ants, lobsters and more. This is such a fun and safe way for the whole family to celebrate Halloween, and it grows in popularity every year. It’s a true community endeavor, so Halloween on Central shines in the #RegistrySpotlight

In what has quickly become a beloved holiday tradition, Central Avenue welcomes the return of its huge Halloween celebration – Halloween on Central. The traffic will disappear as the street will be filled with families, costumes, candy, entertainment, and vendors.

Event highlights include The Kooky Spooky by the Edge District (Dance and costume contests, sidewalk chalk, DJs, Candyland stops, and more).
