A true Tampa Bay tradition, the Florida State Fair has everything a proper state fair should have – thrilling midway rides, lots and lots of delicious, yet terrible for you (as in deep fried everything), goodies, headlining live entertainment and concerts, and fabulous exhibits of all kinds. It’s one of those traditions you have to try at least once in your life, and the kids die for it. Go, and have some raise your arms over your heads, blue ribbon fun!

At this special event, science and mixology come together to create a unique, delicious, and exciting experience for guests. All proceeds from this signature event will directly support The 3 Wishes Fund: Opening Doors for All, a special program fund established by Great Explorations Children’s Museum with the goal of widening access to enriching educational experiences for underserved children and families.

Opening – God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater by Kurt Vonnegut

Bored and unfulfilled by philanthropy, Millionaire Eliot Rosewater sets off on a journey to find his life’s purpose. This search takes him to Rosewater County, Indiana, his family’s former home, that has lost all hope. Through a series of misadventures, both Eliot and the town find themselves irrevocably changed in a musical that is both deeply funny and wildly sincere. God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, pays homage to Vonnegut’s witty humor and energetic dialogue with an infectious score by the Oscar-winning team of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors).

St. Petersburg Science Festival

The St. Petersburg Science Festival is an annual regional celebration where families and the public can explore the wonders of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). The festival is located at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus and Poynter Park – along the waterfront. This event is free and held in conjunction with MarineQuest, the open house of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute. The two events happen side-by-side and attendees are able to walk from one to the other.

St. Petersburg Fine Art Festival
