Last Call – Snow Days Tampa Bay The Florida Aquarium, Tampa

Kids still out of school? It’s not too late to join in the week-long festivities at The Florida Aquarium on Channelside. Grab your gloves and celebrate with a number of hands-on snow activities. Just Opened – Hamilton Book, Music & Lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda
The Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa

Lucky us. It’s pretty incredible to have the option of closing out 2022 with tickets to the biggest Broadway smash of all time – Hamilton. This iconic history lesson set to the now familiar score by Miranda tells the story of Alexander Hamilton and the founding of the US in a most modern way. I can promise you, it will be the most exciting history lesson you’ve ever had! Don’t throw away your shot to see it while it’s in town. Now through January 22nd. Tickets, schedules, showtimes, and more information here.

*Fun Fact: St. Petersburg native and Tony nominee (for Ain’t Too Proud), Ephram Sykes was part of the original Broadway ensemble of Hamilton.

Friday

Stardust Memories – The David Bowie Tribute Band
Hard Rock Cafe, Tampa

This wildly popular touring Bowie tribute band ends its 2022 schedule right there at the Hard Rock. I’ve had a number of recommendations for this, so I’m going with it! Make your requests and enjoy some of the world’s most iconic rock music. You might even grab some dinner and try your luck at some of the gaming in the casino. An evening at Hard Rock is the prefect way to wind down the outgoing 2022.

New Year’s Eve on the Pier

One of the grandest traditions of New Year’s Eve fireworks displays happens right in downtown St. Pete at Spa Beach, over beautiful Tampa Bay. In the 30 years I have lived in this area, it’s been a go-to NYE activity. Ring in 2023 dancing on the lighted dance floor, complete with disco ball. There will be DJs, food trucks,  bars, and other vendors. Best of all, it’s FREE and open to the public. No tickets necessary
