Calling all word nerds and crossword puzzle masters! Voices of Hope for Aphasia is hosting Word Play, a fun-filled night of word-game competitions, dinner, and opportunities to give. For people with aphasia, the effort to find the right words is a daily struggle. Word Play will directly support the programs and services of Voices of Hope, which helps guide members with programs that emphasize communication and quality of life. Bliss – A PRIDE Themed Art Exhibit Curated by Chad Mize
The Factory/Fairgrounds, St. Pete
The Factory and Fairgrounds, St. Pete approached Chad Mize earlier this year to curate an exhibit in their main gallery space. They decided on an exhibit for the month of June. Over the last 6 years MIZE has curated a yearly PRIDE exhibit. Exhibits have included PRIDE & JOY, ICONS, DON’T ASK. DO TELL, RAINBOW, SAY GAY and HOT BOX. Several of these past exhibits have touched on the trials and tribulations within the political climate against the LGBTQIA+ community. This year MIZE wanted to switch it up and curate an exhibit about bliss, a state of complete happiness or joy. 40 visual artists and 5 literary artists have been invited for this 2024 exhibit. What is their BLISS?

TARANTULA
Sixstar Art Studios, St. Pete
Saint Petersburg’s hottest new art gallery Sixstar Art Studios and The Black Box Gallery is presenting TARANTULA, a one night only art experience. Featuring a collaborative performance by Siobhan Monique and international artist Jason Hackenwerth. The event will also boast an installation by Hackenwerth as well as an exhibition of huge paintings by Tanner Simon an award-winning USF painting graduate.
