The monthly live performance by Radio Theatre Project — live renditions of radio plays, with actors at microphones and man-made sound effects — takes a turn toward Turkey Day with a series of plays centered around families. As RTP’s Bonnie Agan says, “Families! You can’t live with them, and you can’t have a Thanksgiving dinner without them.”
The short plays on tonight’s docket take us to a New England country inn; an other-worldly cocktail hour; a bout of senior citizen speed dating; a three-generation encounter in a Brooklyn apartment; and a barnyard face-off between Martha Stewart, a well-known farmer and two highly vocal turkeys.
“Sure, it’s a lot to ‘stuff’ in,” says Bonnie, “but it will get you ready for the big feast!” (Full disclosure: I’ll be playing one of the characters at that New England inn.)
