“EXPLORING THE LIFESTYLE AND GENEROSITY OF TAMPA BAY”

If holiday tables laden with roasts and poultry are giving you a case of the meat sweats, you can turn over a new leaf (or petal) tonight at Cafe Verde’s Plant-Based Pop-Up Dinner. Cafe Verde describes itself as “a pop-up restaurant that curates small group dinners to take you on a spiritual journey of healing, harmony, and happiness through plant medicine, group therapy, and delicious drinks,” and they hold these dinners (this is the group’s second) at one of the liveliest EDGE venues, the Baum Avenue Market. The menu includes five courses designed by chefs from Twisted Indian and Lucy’s Vegan Restaurant, and includes such delicious-sounding items as risotto with asparagus, sweet peas, greens and trumpet mushrooms and baklava with cinnamon ice cream, with drink pairings for every course. Expect communal seating, live musical entertainment and a welcoming vibe. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first course and drink pairing is served at 7. Floral attire encouraged (interpret as you wish). Tickets are $85 including tip. But act quick: At press time, there were only four tickets remaining!

Mon. 12/9, 6-10 p.m. Baum Avenue Market, 1113 Baum Ave. N., St. Petersburg. Reserve tickets at eventbrite.
