The Straz Center’s popular lecture series National Geographic Live! features a name well-known to Floridians tonight with Wild Florida: Hidden in Plain Sight w. Carlton Ward, Jr.
An eighth-generation Floridian, Ward has trekked more than 2,000 miles across Florida during two National Geographic-supported expeditions to showcase a ground-breaking statewide vision to protect the last of our wild places. His current project, Path of the Panther, uses sophisticated camera traps and intimate photojournalism to create an unprecedented glimpse into the life of one of America’s most endangered and elusive predators.
7 p.m., Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center, Tampa. The Straz says on its website that only “non-traditional seats” are available at this time. Call their Ticket Sales Office at 813-229-7827 to find out what that means.
