  • Big Gala 2025

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Our #BigBash will include a delicious dinner, an inspiring program, entertainment, and exciting auctions. We encourage cocktail or 'elegantly creative' attire to match our theme. Celebrate our mission empowering kids through impactful mentoring relationships across the Tampa Bay region.   Click here to donate a basket, item or certificate for our auction: https://give.bbbstampabay.org/web_forms/1062 Anyone may bid on our auction (even if you don't attend!) and it will go live Wed 9/24 and close Sat 9/27. Pre-register in September at bidpal.net/bbbstb It costs close to $2,000 to provide a child with a mentor for one year—covering background checks and ongoing support services that are the key to ensuring that each match between a Big and a Little will be successful. Last year, 97% of the kids in our program went on to the next grade level and 99% had no involvement with the juvenile justice system. For the children we serve, the impact of your financial support can last a lifetime. With your help, more children and youth facing adversity in our community will have a caring adult role model in their lives—and a much better chance of fulfilling their potential.

  • The Frieda Widera Silent Witness Project

The Parkview Room, Largo Performing Arts Center

Honor the lives lost to domestic violence and commit to prevention through the powerful stories of the Frieda Widera Silent Witness Project This unveiling takes place on October 1 — the first day of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time for communities nationwide to come together in remembrance, advocacy, and action. 🕊 We also recognize that this day falls during Yom Kippur, a sacred time of reflection, atonement, and renewal. The mission of the Frieda Widera Silent Witness Project — to remember lives lost, acknowledge harm, and inspire change — reflects these same values of truth, responsibility, and transformation.

  • The Lotus Gala

    Armature Works

An annual tradition in Tampa Bay since 2014, this year’s Tampa event – The Lotus Gala – is a celebration of resilience, compassion, and community benefiting Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation. The Lotus Gala draws its name from the lotus flower, a powerful symbol of strength, resilience, and compassion. Rooted in muddy waters, the lotus flower pushes toward the surface to bloom, just like many cancer patients who, despite overwhelming financial burdens, rise with support. At the heart of The Lotus Gala is our mission to provide essential non-medical financial support to cancer patients in need so they can focus on healing – not hardship. Cancer impacts people from all backgrounds, and we’re committed to walking alongside every patient with compassion and care that honors their unique journey. The Lotus Gala is a tribute to the strength of the human spirit and a chance to make a lasting impact. The evening will include dinner, beverages, live and silent auctions, and entertainment by Awaaz Entertainment featuring a DJ, Bhangra performance, and live Dhol drummer.
