Great American Coins & Collectibles Show
Tampa Convention Center, Tampa

Collecting a Type Set of United States Coins

It’s a multi – day collector’s paradise that fills the Tampa Convention Center with some of the rarest items you can imagine. $100 million of numismatic treasures including a world-famous $6.25 million rare nickel and a $360,000 penny. Open to the public, hundreds of dealers will be buying and selling rare coins, stamps, paper money, gold, and silver. Many of the experts will provide complimentary, informal evaluations of the public’s vintage coins, currency, and other collectibles.

Fort De Soto Oktoberfest 5k – 10k – 15k

Have a blast and kick off Tampa Bay’s race season at historic Fort De Soto Park with a 15K, 10K, or 5K and a fun Oktoberfest celebration. You get a medal, cool t-shirt, tasty craft beer, delicious food, great music, and a lot of fun for a very good cause. Proceeds benefit:  Tampa Bay Watch is a nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to the protection and restoration of the marine and wetland environments of the Tampa Bay estuary.

It’s a very special yard sale at Morean Arts Center! You can find great deals on art and so many miscellaneous items–you never know what you’re going to find, but odds are, it will be something you’ll treasure forever. Prices start at $1 and max out at $100.
Along with Morean-owned items, you’ll be able to meet many fabulous local artists and pick up something from them as well.

24th Annual I Like It HOT! Festival & BBQ

There’ll be a ‘hot’ time in Largo this weekend when the I Like it Hot! Festival returns for its 24th year. If you’ve always wanted to live your own version of Hot Ones, where celebs eat a series of increasingly hot wings, then this event is definitely for you! Taste test all your fave sauces, salsas, BBQ, and all kinds of spicy treats. Multiple vendors will be on hand to cater to your pepper palate, including all the foods and live plants. Activities include a pepper eating contest, amateur hot sauce/salsa contest, hot hula hoop contest & live bands. Admission and parking are FREE!

Here’s a twofer for the whole family. It’s a day of multi-cultural experiences for all. In the morning, it’s a showcase of stunningly colorful fashions from around the world, celebrating the diversity of our community with a Parade of Nations. Later on, head over to the Carrollwood Village Park for a celebration for the kids – again with a multi-cultural theme which will include awards, dances, more fashion, free lanterns, face-painting, and free candy for the kids. It’s a perfect family outing.
